Introduction to the study of politics. Terminology and methodology of political science. Government and administration. Executive, legislative, and judiciary. Governance, political participation, political actors, government structures and processes. Basic concepts of political theory, comparative politics and international relations. This course provides an introduction to the key concepts and methods to analyse politics. Topics will include politics and people, some of the basic concepts in the study of politics, the interplay between politics and economics, and actors and the processes of governance and on international politics and challenges in the face of globalization.
