This course aims to develop ELT students’ English vocabulary knowledge as well as vocabulary teaching skills through an integrated language skills approach. Students will also be given the opportunity to analyze different forms of English vocabulary, types of word formation, and different meanings of words in context. Also, sophomore ELT students will engage in analysis of elements of vocabulary teaching and various text types that can be used in the classroom, resources such as dictionaries and other works of reference. The course also involves exams that can be used to measure students’ English vocabulary knowledge as well as teaching / learning strategies that support students' vocabulary learning.
